Frequently Asked Questions

How is it wired?

  • It retrofits easily to existing RS485 networks using 18-gauge shielded wiring and is a direct retrofit or upgrade to the APEX Keypad with minimal differences.

What app does it use?

  • The AP1+ leverages the new StorID for tenants which natively supports the Bluetooth connectivity elements and allows for digital key sharing.

Can I keyshare with the AP1+?

  • Tenants using the StorID app to access a facility can share a digital key with others for a specific period or indefinitely.

Are there custom branding options?

  • Many of the custom branding options will be available on the StorID app itself, rather than the keypad, where operators will have the option to include a full-color logo of their facility and contact information.
